Arklow’s young athletes have been flying the flag high for the town in recent weeks, with St Benedict Inbhear Mór Athletics Club enjoying fantastic success at both the Wicklow Even Ages and Novice Cross Country Championships in Tinahely and the Uneven Ages and Intermediate Championships held the following weekend.

Across two challenging courses, the club’s juveniles and senior runners turned in outstanding performances, bringing home multiple individual and team medals and plenty of pride for Arklow.

Tough Conditions in Tinahely – Even Ages & Novice Championships

The first event in Tinahely saw competitors face a tough, windy course, but the young Arklow athletes rose to the challenge with determination and spirit. St Benedict Inbhear Mór AC celebrated several top team finishes and strong runs across every age group.

Medal Success Continues – Uneven Ages & Intermediate Championships

The following Sunday brought another day of strong performances, as the club’s athletes took part in the Wicklow Uneven Ages and Intermediate Cross Country Championships. Once again, the dedication and teamwork of the Arklow runners shone through, with further podium finishes and personal bests.
