Arklow Racquetball Club at the All Ireland Championships

Arklow Racquetball players have once again proven themselves on the national stage, returning from the All-Ireland Racquetball Championships in Kingscourt as the most successful club in the country during the weekend’s events. The club brought home an impressive five major trophy wins, along with several other podium finishes.

The standout performance of the weekend came from Reece Young, who made headlines by winning both the Men’s C and Men’s B titles. This is a remarkable achievement that highlights his skill and determination.

In the Women’s Open Doubles, Toni Neary and her partner Aisling Hickey secured a well-earned victory. Toni also reached the final of the Women’s Open Singles, where she finished runner-up to Hickey in a closely contested match.

After a weekend of tough matches, Colm O’Keefe and Jimmy Gannon showed great resilience and determination, finishing strong with a dominant 3–0 win in the final to claim gold in their division.

Joseph Farrell captured the Men’s D title, continuing his impressive ascent through the racquetball ranks. His progress shows no signs of slowing down as he adds another national title to his growing list of achievements.

Tyler Young delivered a fantastic performance in the Men’s Novice Consolation, taking home the gold medal and further contributing to Arklow’s winning weekend.

Jay Barnes secured a second-place finish in the Men’s Novice Division, while Michael Barnes also took runner-up honours in the Men’s B Division, both adding to the club’s impressive overall showing.

With such a strong showing across multiple divisions, the future is looking bright for Arklow Raquetball following other successes at the Kingscourt Open and Overage All-Ireland Championships already this year.
