New Facilities Arrive At Cove Beach Just in Time for Summer

With the sun shining and summer just around the corner, visitors to Arklow’s Cove Beach have even more reason to celebrate. A range of new facilities, including changing areas, bike racks, and a lifeguard hut, have been installed, making the much-loved coastal spot even more inviting for locals and tourists alike.
The improvements have been made possible through a collaborative effort between Wicklow County Council, the County Wicklow Partnership, and local business, Roadstone. Their combined efforts have ensured that these much-needed amenities were put in place, enhancing the beach experience for everyone who visits.
Speaking about the upgrades, local councillor Warren O’Toole expressed his appreciation for the teamwork involved:
“This is what happens when people work together. A massive thanks to Roadstone, who not only allowed these works to take place but also assisted in making them happen. Wicklow County Council and the County Wicklow Partnership have also put in an incredible amount of work to bring this to fruition.”
These new additions come as part of the Wicklow Blueway initiative, a project dedicated to promoting and developing the county’s stunning coastline. The initiative aims to encourage outdoor recreation and tourism while ensuring that Wicklow’s natural beauty is preserved and enjoyed by all.
With the longer days and warmer weather ahead, Cove Beach is set to be a top destination for swimmers, walkers, and cyclists. Thanks to these latest improvements, visitors can enjoy the area in even greater comfort and safety this summer.
