A number of indivuals were captured on CCTV attempting to break in to cars owned by Arklow Cancer Support. The footage shows what appears to be two males and one female climbing onto the bonnet and roof of the vehicles. At one point they are seen posing for pictures with a mobile phone.

The cars are a vital resource to the charity and are used to transport cancer patients to and from daily treatments.

A member of Arklow Cancer Support spoke to Arklow News about the incident.

“These thugs got into Arklow Cancer Support car park last Saturday night and tried to break into our pod and cars. As you can see the girl in the video climbed onto the bonnet and then the roof of our car to enter our garden.”

“We are beyond disgusted with their behaviour. These cars were purchased with funding from our very committed fundraisers who very generously support our charity. This matter is in the hands of the Gardai and thankfully we have a lot of coverage of their behaviour.”
