Coastal Walk Section Closed Due To Storm Damage

A section of the coastal walk has been closed due to damage from recent storms.

Wicklow County Council advised:

“Arklow Municipal District would like to inform the public that, due to damage from recent storms, a portion of the revetment walk at Seaview Avenue will be closed for health and safety reasons.”

“Repairs have been initiated on other sections of the walk, and work will continue in the coming days.”

“The Municipal District is also in communication with various agencies to secure funding for more permanent repairs to the surface.”

“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.”

The section is close to the area which has been blocked to the public by the adjacent caravan park.

An ongoing legal battle between Arklow Holidays Ltd and Wicklow County Council is due to be next heard in court on February 10th.
