A new Arklow Outdoor Sauna is set to warm the town’s community. ‘The FireBath’ will be located at The Boatyard location which was previously occupied by Murts Diner.

Local Councillor Warren O’Toole thanked Fergal Redmond who was instrumental in the idea for his “dedication to health and fitness which has always inspired our community”

Due to local bylaws, it couldn’t be placed at South Beach but the local council are looking into casual trading licences with positive feedback received so far. There has also been positive engagement with Roadstone who oversees The Cove.

“While Fergal hoped to place it beside the beach, circumstances nudged him to adapt and I’m delighted to have helped Fergal secure the new location.”

“I will continue to help Fergal fulfil his ambition to get something beside the beach. With the addition of the Ice Baths, this will truly be a rejuvenating experience.”

“Here’s to wellness, resilience, and making the most of every opportunity. From the heart of the town, you can be on a beach, in a forest, at a river, up a hill, or immersed in nature in less than ten minutes. The aim is to continue to unlock Arklow’s potential, one step at a time.”
