Storm Éowyn – Closures And Updates For Arklow

As storm Éowyn looms over Arklow, local schools, businesses and institutions are taking precautions to keep residents safe. We’ve compiled a list of closures and updates to help readers stay informed.

Schools
Schools and educational institutions in Arklow will be closed on Friday 24th. A number of second-level schools including Arklow CBS, and Glenart College, and St. Mary’s College have rearranged their entrance exams originally scheduled for Saturday 25th to February 8th.

Supermarkets  Tesco – Closed for the morning and reopen once the warning has lifted.
Supervalu – Open from 11:30am to 9pm
Lidl – Closed during any warning and will reopen one hour after the warning has lifted.
Aldi – Closed during any warning and will reopen when deemed safe.
Centra – Open from 9am   Pharmacies 
First Choice Tesco – Open from 1pm to 7pm
Armstrong Life – Closed during any warning and will reopen when deemed safe
Adrian Dunne – Open from 11.30am to 6pm
Grants – Open from 11.30am 
Duffys – Open from 1pm to 6pm
Ferrybank Careplus – Open from 2pm to 6pm
Boots – Closed during any warning

Library
Arklow Library will remain closed on Friday 24th

Cafes & Coffee Shops
Deck Coffee House – Closed on Friday 24th
Kulbeans Kaffe – Closed on Friday 24th
Loco Grocer – Closed on Friday 24th
Crazy Cafe – Closed on Friday 24th   Gyms
Pure Fitness – Closed on Friday 24th
Arklow Bay Leisure – Open from 12.30pm
Mecca Gym – Open from 12.00pm

Transport
Wexford Bus – All services cancelled during any warning and will resume in the afternoon
Bus Eireann – Services will resume in the afternoon
Arklow Town Taxis – Closed between 8am to 6pm
