Wicklow Pride Unveils Rainbow Run And High Heel Dash

Wicklow Pride is set to paint Shoreline Leisure Park in Charlesland, Greystones, with vibrant colors and community spirit for their Rainbow Run and High Heel Dash.
The event will take place on May 17th, coinciding with International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, and Transphobia.
This year, the annual Rainbow Run returns with a fresh twist: the High Heel Dash, a 40-meter race where participants can strut their stuff in stilettos before lacing up for the classic 5K fun run.
The Rainbow Run invites people of all ages, genders, abilities, and backgrounds to don rainbow hues and join a celebration of inclusivity, diversity, and love. More than just a race, it’s a powerful statement of solidarity. New for 2025, the High Heel Dash adds a playful challenge, encouraging daring runners to kick off the day with a fabulous sprint.
Entry fees are straightforward at a cost of €10 for a single Rainbow Run ticket, €40 for a family entry, or €10 to take on the High Heel Dash. All proceeds will fuel the Wicklow Pride Festival 2025, ensuring the celebration continues to grow.
After crossing the finish line, participants can refuel at a tuck shop and unwind at a community picnic, fostering connection over snacks and good vibes.
Organisers are calling on the community to run, strut, or cheer, making May 17th a day of pride and togetherness.
Registration is open now for those ready to join the movement and make a statement against discrimination. With Wicklow Pride leading the charge, this event promises to be a highlight of unity and celebration in Greystones.
The Wicklow Pride Festival 2025 itself will take place on Saturday, the 5th of July with a host of events planned.
